Imagine if will the neighborhood kids playing out in the back yard using moms cooking spoons to knock down various sized towers and walls to conquer the castle and seize the day. I would have done anything to own a scaled down replica of a working catapult. When I saw the Da Vinci Catapult, I nearly fell out of my chair. Needles to say, Mom did not always see the educational value of these improvised science experiments. The harder one hit the spoon, the further the amunition would fly. When I was kid, a catapult consisted of one of Mom’s cooking spoons and some well placed rocks for the fulcrum.
